You are required by law to update the address on your driver’s licence. Updating your address is free.
Go to your local Motor Vehicles office. Bring your current Yukon driver’s licence with you.
Advise Motor Vehicles of your new address. Our staff will issue you a temporary licence, valid for 90 days. This will reflect your current expiry date.
Your new driver's licence will be printed within 3 business days and mailed to you within 4 to 10 days. Allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.
Change your licence class and add restrictions or endorsements
We will update your licence class and add restrictions or endorsements for free.

Change your name
Go to your local Motor Vehicles office. Bring your current Yukon driver’s licence with you.
Bring original paperwork showing your legal name change. Note: If your birth certificate, valid passport or permanent resident card does not reflect your current legal surname, bring in your marriage certificate(s) or legal name change document(s).
Staff will issue you a temporary licence that will be valid for 90 days. This card will reflect your current expiry date.
