You can still apply for rebates on purchases made on or before March 31, 2026. You have 1 year from the date of the purchase to submit your rebate application.
Apply for a rebate for a Level 2 electric vehicle charger
The Good Energy Program offers rebates for Level 2 electric vehicle chargers installed at personal residences, commercial or multi-residential buildings and municipal or First Nation governments-owned buildings.
Homeowners
Eligibility
Eligible chargers
Eligible chargers and supply equipment must:
- have a power supply between 208 and 240 volt;
- be purchased before April 1, 2026.
- have Wi-Fi capability; and
- be certified by:
- Underwriters Laboratories Canada (ULC);
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA); or
- Electrical Testing Laboratories Canada (cETL).
Eligible applicants
Property owners with residences located in the Yukon.
Rebate amount
50 per cent of the purchase and installation costs up to a maximum of $1,500 for per charger at a personal residence. This includes:
- single detached homes;
- duplexes;
- triplexes; and
- mobile homes.
The rebate is based on costs related to the installation for:
- equipment (including load sharing or smart splitting devices);
- labour;
- electrical upgrades (panel, wirings and new poles);
- construction; and
- contracting or professional expenses for installation and required upgrades to supporting infrastructure.
We consider all dual-port chargers to be 1 charger for this rebate.
This offer is available until March 31, 2026, and is subject to available funding.
A maximum of 2 chargers per personal residence can qualify for a rebate over the lifetime of the program.
Before you begin
- Determine if you need to upgrade your electrical system. Call your utility (ATCO Electric Yukon or Yukon Energy Corporation).
- Confirm if the electrical panel and service line can support an electric vehicle charger. Consult an electrician.
- If you make electrical upgrades or changes, you must get a final electrical inspection.

Businesses and non-government organizations
Eligibility
Eligible buildings
Our rebate covers the following buildings located in the Yukon:
- apartments;
- multi-unit residential buildings;
- commercial buildings; and
- community buildings, such as:
- churches; and
- community centres.

Eligible chargers or supply equipment must:
- have a power supply between 208 and 240 volt;
- be purchased before April 1, 2026.
- be equipped with a SAE J1772 standard plug head or adapter (for exceptions, contact the Energy Branch);
- be made in a country that has a free trade agreement with Canada. This excludes all made in China chargers;
- be network enabled; and
- be certified by:
- Underwriters Laboratories (UL);
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA); or
- Electrical Testing Laboratories-Canada (cETL).
Eligible applicants
- Property owners such as businesses or non-government organizations with buildings located in the Yukon.
- Lease holding businesses or non-government organizations with approval from the building owner.
Rebate amount
65 per cent of total costs up to a maximum of $6,500 per installed charger.
The rebate is for a maximum of 20 chargers per building.
We consider all dual-port chargers to be 1 charger for this rebate.
This offer is available until March 31, 2026, and is subject to available funding.
The rebate is based on costs related to the installation for:
