Psychology Advisory Committee (Yukon)

The Psychology Advisory Committee, at the request of the Registrar of Psychology, provides advice on:

• the standards of practice of psychology;
• the code of ethics of psychology and the professional ethics;
• requirements for registration;
• information to be provided to the public about the functions and areas of knowledge, skill and judgment of registrants; and
• any other matters relating to regulation of practice of psychology. 

The committee, on request from the Registrar, also:

• reviews applications for registration and for the renewal of registration, and provides advice about them;
• participates in national initiatives related to the practice of psychology and provides feedback on those initiatives to the Registrar of Psychologists; and
• performs any other tasks related to the purposes of the Health Professions Act and Psychologists Regulation.
