About the Gas Burning Devices Act Appeal Board
The Gas Burning Devices Act Appeal Board hears appeals of those who were refused a licence or had their licence revoked or suspended under the Gas Burning Devices Act. The board:
- confirms, varies or reverses the decision, order or ruling of an inspector; and
- may order the person or body who appeals or any other person to comply with its decision.

How members are selected
Members are appointed by a Minister, Cabinet or the Yukon Legislative Assembly.
School board and school council members can be elected or, in some cases, appointed.

Some boards and committees members are required to hold certain professional qualifications or affiliations.
