Yukoners can begin booking appointments for COVID-19, flu and RSV vaccines. This annual campaign helps protect residents during the respiratory illness season and also includes RSV vaccination for eligible infants and older adults.
COVID-19 and flu vaccines can be safely given at the same appointment and remain the best protection against severe illness and hospitalization. Yukoners are encouraged to get both vaccines this fall, especially older adults, people with chronic health conditions, pregnant individuals and health care workers.
RSV vaccination continues to be offered as part of the Yukon’s immunization program. Adults aged 75 and older, and those aged 60 and older living in long-term care, are eligible for one lifetime dose RSV vaccine. This vaccine is available year-round, but it must be spaced at least four weeks apart from flu or COVID-19 vaccination. If an eligible person has already received their RSV vaccine, no additional doses are required.
For infants, RSV protection with Beyfortus® will be available starting November 1, 2025, to coincide with the RSV season in the Yukon (November through April). All babies under eight months of age, as well as all newborns born during the RSV season, are eligible for a single dose that protects them for the entire season. Newborns will be offered the vaccine while in hospital after birth, while other eligible infants can get it through the Whitehorse Health Centre or their local community health centre.
Appointments can be booked at Yukon.ca/appointments. Vaccines are also available at participating pharmacies and community health centres. Some health centres will accept walk-ins, but booking an appointment is recommended to avoid wait times. For more information about RSV, flu and COVID-19 vaccines, visit Yukonimmunization.ca.
