Household income limits (HILs)
Your yearly household income must be under the following household income limits for you to apply for housing through Yukon Housing Corporation. These thresholds are current as of September 1, 2025.
Whitehorse
- To apply for a bachelor apartment your yearly household income must be under $59,000.
- To apply for a 1-bedroom social housing unit, your yearly household income must be under $66,500.
- To apply for a 2-bedroom social housing unit, your yearly household income must be under $75,500.
- To apply for a 3-plus-bedroom social housing unit, your yearly household income must be under $102,500.
Yukon communities and rural areas
To apply for social housing in a Yukon community and rural area, your yearly household income must be under $110,000.
Affordable housing income limit (AHILs)
To be eligible for the Canada-Yukon Housing Benefit at Yukon Housing Corporation, your yearly household income must be under $123,000. If you applied on a program prior to September 1, 2025, the income limit at the time of application will be used to assess your eligibility.
Income levels by home size to be eligible for the Canada Yukon Housing Benefit
- For a bachelor home your income must be below $70,800 per year.
- For a 1-bedroom home your income must be below $79,800 per year.
- For a 2-bedroom home your income must be below $90,600 per year.
- For a 3-bedroom home your income must be below $101,400 per year.
- For a 4-bedroom home your income must be below $112,200 per year.
- For a 5-bedroom home your income must be below $123,000 per year.
