Eligibility
- You're a homeowner and have successfully passed the homeowner's electrical test.
- You can only wire your principal residence. If the home or any portion is being used as a rental unit, you must hire an electrical contractor.
- You're a registered electrical contractor, hired to do the electrical work.
Apply for an electrical permit
- Complete the electrical permit application.
- Submit your completed application and the calculated fee.

Submit an electrical declaration form with the required information after each of the following stages for an inspection:
- rough-in wiring
- service wiring
- final finish wiring
We require 72 business hours' notice before the requested inspection date.
