There are 4 types of certificates in the Yukon:
- Full certificate
- Provisional certificate
- Courtesy certificate
- Inactive certificate
Each certificate type has different requirements you must complete before applying. We may not approve your registration if there are complaints or criminal action against you. We'll assess your eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
Inactive certificates are only offered:
- in the renewal process; and
- to psychologists who have a full certificate in the Yukon.
A full certificate allows you to:
- work to the full extent of the Yukon's regulations; and
- use the title of
- psychologist;
- registered psychologist; and
- registered doctoral psychologist.
Before you apply, review the eligibility requirements and email [email protected] to request your application package.
You must renew your certificate every year.
