The Government of Yukon congratulates all members of Team Yukon for proudly representing the territory at the 2026 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse.
From March 8 to 15, over 350 athletes, cultural performers and support staff wore the Team Yukon colours with pride throughout the week-long multisport event.
Team Yukon finished the games with 57 gold, 65 silver and 52 bronze ulus for a total of 174 ulus.
The government thanks and also congratulates the Host Society, all volunteers and everyone who made the games a success.
It was a privilege to watch Team Yukon perform on our home turf. Today, you are young athletes and performers, but you are also tomorrow’s leaders. Thank you for your commitment to sport and for being excellent ambassadors of the territory. I also extend my congratulations to all the visiting teams for a job well done and thank them for joining us and creating a memorable week of action, culture and camaraderie.
I am consistently blown away with the way Team Yukon’s delegation conducts themselves. They were gracious in victory and defeat, they respected the officials and were grateful to the many volunteers. Thank you to the Host Society and the volunteers for making these games memorable for everyone.
