Statement from Minister Streicker on Air North’s new interline agreement with China Airlines

Minister of Tourism and Culture John Streicker has issued the following statement:

“The Government of Yukon congratulates Air North, Yukon’s Airline on the announcement of its new interline agreement with China Airlines based in Taiwan.

“This partnership is another significant milestone for Air North and a testament to the airline’s commitment to connecting the Yukon to the world. The improved connectivity will open exciting opportunities for our tourism sector, making it easier for visitors from Asia to discover the Yukon’s spectacular landscapes, vibrant communities and rich cultural heritage.

“In addition to tourism, this agreement will also strengthen our economy by supporting local industries that depend on efficient, reliable air service. By linking the Yukon to more international markets, this can help local businesses reach new customers and partners and helping our territory remain competitive in the global economy.

“On behalf of the Government of Yukon, I want to congratulate Air North for their vision and leadership. This achievement is the result of a lot of hard work and will bring benefits to communities across the Yukon for years to come.”
