It was a pleasure to co-host my first Yukon Forum as Premier alongside co-chair Grand Chief Alatini. Yukon Forum is key to upholding a strong and collaborative governance between the Government of Yukon and Yukon First Nations governments that is integral to improving the quality of life in the Yukon. I look forward to working together on key shared priorities over the coming months and to charting a new path that ensures growth, prosperity and a bright future for all Yukoners.
Our ongoing collaboration with the Government of Yukon is the foundation for meaningful progress across the territory and today’s Yukon Forum demonstrated the strength of that partnership. The open and honest discussions we held reflect our shared commitment to addressing the priorities of Yukon First Nations, including health and wellness, education, housing and the stewardship of our lands. I am encouraged by the collective leadership at the table and look forward to continuing this important work together to build a healthier, more equitable future for all Yukoners.
