The 2025 fall sitting of the Yukon Legislative Assembly will start at 1 pm on Monday, December 8. This sitting will mark the beginning of the 36th Yukon Legislative Assembly.
Members of the public are invited to attend, with seating in the gallery available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The sitting will see a Speech from the Throne delivered by Commissioner Adeline Webber, the election of the 27th Speaker in the history of the Yukon Legislative Assembly and the introduction of a supplementary budget.
For those unable to attend in person, live coverage of the proceedings will be streamed at yukonassembly.ca/house-business/coverage-proceedings and broadcast on 93.5 FM.

The duration of the 2025 fall sitting will be determined by the House Leaders of the three parties represented in the Yukon Legislative Assembly.

The Premier has announced he will nominate Whistle Bend North MLA Yvonne Clarke as the Speaker for the 36th Yukon Legislative Assembly. If elected, MLA Clarke would become the first Filipino Speaker in Canadian history.
